Specify First Initiative: Annual Managers Meeting held in Nashville TN  8/12/2007-8/14/2007

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: EEO Recruiting and Compliance was discussed by John Garziglia.  We also discussed political guidelines, public files, sexual harassment issues etc.  All Market Managers, Operations Managers, and Business Managers were in attendance.

 

Specify Second Initiative: Idea Bank Scholarship announcements

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: The stations aired advertisements to seek applicants for a scholarship given away annually and sponsored by the Cromwell Group, SESAC and the Idea Bank.

 

Specify Third Initiative: Sales Mentoring Program

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: Senior Sales Representatives mentored Junior Sales Representatives, assisting with client calls, proposals and cold calling.  Senior Reps were also available to help with paperwork, station procedures, and other daily tasks.

 

Specify Fourth Initiative: Participation in an online general job posting site: Craig’s List

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: Our stations posted many job opening on Craig’s List, a local classifieds site that services Nashville and the surrounding area.

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: Our Station Managers met to review required EEO paperwork and guidelines for posting job openings, interviewing and hiring candidates.

Describe Activities Undertaken To Fulfill That Initiative: Our stations participated in three job fairs.  On January 17, 2008 we had a booth at the Cumberland University Job Fair.  On March 13, 2008 we had a booth at the MTSU Summer Job Fair.  On March 18, 2008 we had a booth at the TAB job fair held at MTSU.  We accepted applications for all of our current job openings as well as applications for remote tech positions.
