Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Stone Sour/Slipknot singer Corey Taylor are two of the musicians involved with a new project called Teenage Time Killer. According to Loudwire, the project is the brainchild of Mike Dean and Reed Mullin from legendary underground hardcore thrash act Corrosion Of Conformity.

Among the other artists also confirmed to participate are Lamb of God‘s Randy Blythe, Neil Fallon from Clutch,Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys, plus past and present members of Fear, Queens Of The Stone Age, Prong,Soulfly, the Misfits, Black Flag and many other hardcore, punk and thrash acts.

  • The instrumental parts for Teenage Time Killer's upcoming debut release were recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Northridge, California on the famous Sound City mixing board, which was the central focus of Grohl's acclaimed Sound City: Real To Reel documentary.
  • Grohl, who released his own all-star thrash project called Probot a decade ago, told us a while back what attracted him to that sound: "All of this music had that passion and aggression and power and energy of the punk rock and the hardcore, but it was, the musicality was more established and the songs were songs, and it was really interesting, and it had that power and vibe, but it was more sinister and kind of dark. So I just started buying as many of these records as I could find."
  • Randy Blythe described Teenage Time Killer as "old-school C.O.C.-style thrash punk."
  • A release date has not yet been set for the project.
