Stone Sour and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor's first foray into the world of comic books, a four-issue series based on Stone Sour's House Of Gold And Bones albums, will be issued as a trade paperback on December 10th. The comics tied into the storyline of the albums and expanded upon the tale of the Human, who finds himself at a crossroads and must embark on a wild adventure through treacherous lands.
- The House Of Gold And Bones concept albums were issued separately, with Part 1 coming out in the fall of 2012 andPart 2 arriving last April to coincide with the first issue of the comic book.
- Taylor has expressed interest in doing a tour on which Stone Sour would play both albums in order from start to finish, as well as a two-part movie adaptation of the story. He told us he already has some big ideas about the screen version: "I know the people I want to cast in it, I know the people I want to produce and direct it, and hopefully I can get that done. I mean, there's really no ceiling to what we can do with this, so I'm pretty excited about it."
- Taylor and Stone Sour guitarist Jim Root are reportedly going to reconvene with the other members of Slipknot early in 2014 to begin working on that band's long-awaited new album, its first since 2008's All Hope Is Gone.
