CRICKET COMMUNICATIONS ‘MUVE IN SCHOOLS’
PARTNERS WITH WPRT-FM, 102.5 THE GAME AND WBUZ-FM, 102.9 THE BUZZ
TO SUPPORT MUSIC INITIATIVES IN AREA SCHOOLS
BY DONATING $5,000 TO THE WINNING HIGH SCHOOL
NASHVILLE, TN (January 14, 2013) – WPRT-FM, 102.5 The Game and WBUZ-FM, 102.9 The Buzz are helping Cricket Communications give back to music programs in schools! For a second year in a row, Cricket Communications’ ‘Muve Music’ is going to donate $5,000 to a local high school’s music department.
Parents, students, families and/or faculty are encouraged to submit a video or YouTube link of their favorite high school music department’s practice or performance. Acceptable entries will include the high school’s name, as well as audio/video of either a practice or performance. Entries can be of a band, chorus, anything musically related to the local high school’s music department, assuming authorized consent has been given by the school being submitted. Send YouTube link or video of submission to: email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Videos are now being accepted. The Deadline for all submissions is 1/31/13 at 11:59PM (CENTRAL). Links (as provided) will be posted on our website.
After all of the submissions have been received and reviewed, no more than 25 finalists will be chosen. Voting for the selected schools will begin on February 11, 2013. Everyone is invited to vote. The finalist with the most votes combined during the voting period will win the $5,000 donation from Cricket Communications. The donation will be made payable to the music department submitted of the winning high school and will be presented at a school pep rally. Voting will be via text / email & online at 1025thegame.com. More details will follow on voting once the high school finalists have been named. The winning high school will be contacted directly, announced on air on 102.5 FM The Game and posted online at 1025thegame.com, on or around February 27, 2013.
