30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto is getting a lot of attention right now for his performance in the movie Dallas Buyers Club, but the actor/singer is equally geared up about the success of his band's fourth album, Love Lust Faith + Dreams.
Speaking with CBS Local, Leto said, "I think we set out to redefine, rediscover start again in new way. I think it's a new beginning for us . . . The new songs have really given us something very special. I suppose every time you make an album or go onstage you are sharing a piece of yourself, sharing a piece of your work. It's the thing about music that's really special - it's a community-oriented experience."
- Leto told us a while back that reaching fans around the world has been one of his band's proudest accomplishments:"It's been this most amazing journey over the past few years. We never, ever, ever expected that we would reach and communicate with as many people as we did. And to have your music cross through borders and boundaries and cultures and touch other people, that's another massive surprise and a wonderful, wonderful gift." ; font-family: Arial; line-height: normal;">Meanwhile, Leto is being touted as a possible Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actor for his work as a transgender AIDS patient in Dallas Buyers Club.
- 30 Seconds To Mars begins an extensive world tour later this month in Mexico, with the band headed to Europe, Russia, Australia, Japan and South America between now and June.
