Linkin Park has released a lyric video for "Until It's Gone," the next single from the band's upcoming album,The Hunting Party. The new album is Linkin Park's sixth studio effort and features a return to a more guitar-oriented style for the band. Frontman Chester Bennington told us that guitarist Brad Delson was up to the task: "Mike (Shinoda, singer) came to Brad and said, 'Look, we always hear these stories about how, you know, when you were in college with Dave (Farrell, bassist) and you guys were roommates together, he would say that you were the best guitar player he had ever met at that point, and we want to bring that guy out. We want to challenge you to write songs that are gonna get young guitar players to run out and try to figure out how you're playing these songs, and we want the songs to be very guitar-driven.'"
The Hunting Party is scheduled for release on June 17th and follows up 2012's more electronic-themed Living Things.
Guests on the new album include Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, Helmet main man Page Hamilton, System Of A Down axeman Daron Malakian and rapper Rakim.
Linkin Park will hit the road in support of The Hunting Party on this summer's Carnivores Tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI. The trek kicks off on August 8th in West Palm Beach, Florida.
