Drama, drama, drama going on in the interwebs between YouTube and the music world.
YouTube has been fussing with artists such as Jack White, Adele, and the Arctic Monkeys about streaming music for a while now, and finally, they've had enough. The site claims that any artist who doesn't want to take part in the new ad-free system for a small fee will be wiped off the site completely "in a matter of days."
So what you're saying is, if they don't agree to paying up a bit to Youtube, I can't stream Jack, Adele, and the kickass AM album? I mean, I'm not surprised that Jack White is involved in this bickering, but can ya blame him?
YouTube is backing up their argument by saying that artists will make even more money with the new streaming service. But of course, with money involved at all, I smell greed.
Huffington Post has the entire story covered here. This should be interesting.
Don't get me wrong, I have the album and love every minute of it, but I wouldn't be able to jam to this baby anymore.
