Ozzy takes 'Spin" on a tour on around his home...good luck understanding a word he says, as always...but, otherwise, pretty cool.

Jul 06, 2010 -- 11:30am

Ozzy Osbourne invited Spin.com into his mansion in suburban Los Angeles for a guided video tour that's online now at the magazine's website. The Prince of Darkness took the web cameras into his study, where he showed them his sniper rifle, his Nazi daggers from World War II, his dog, his collection of Beatles memorabilia and more.

  • Among the things in Ozzy's room that we see in the Spin video are:
-- a cross made of metal from the World Trade Center
-- a collection of Nazi daggers
    -- a sniper rifle
-- a cross made out of aluminum by Ozzy's dad
-- The Plastic Ono Band's Live Peace In Toronto 1969 album signed by
        John Lennon
    --
a book signed by Aleister Crowley of "Mr. Crowley" fame
    -- a ventriloquist's dummy
-- a painting by graffiti artist Banksy
-- a leather jacket Ozzy's had since he was 20
  • Ozzy's new album Scream debuted at Number Four on last week's Billboard album chart, selling 81,000 copies in its first week of release.

This is classic Billy Corgan being heckled and walking off stage...imagine that!

Jul 02, 2010 -- 11:07am

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan abruptly ended the band's show at the Viper Room in West Hollywood on Wednesday night (June 30th) after being heckled by members of the audience. According to Spin.com, the band was about 80 minutes into the show when Corgan appeared alone onstage with a ukelele. After waiting for the crowd to quiet down, he began playing "Love Is The Sweetest Thing."

Someone in the audience yelled out "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" and Corgan seemed to take it in stride, saying, "They say never give your a*****e uncle tickets, and there he is." But when a second voice called out "Welcome Back Kotter" and the chatter continued, Corgan cut the song short, saying "I love you all, but I'm too old for this s***." He then left the stage without playing the planned encore of "Freak" and "Today."

Several people in attendance posted on message boards that the hecklers were Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum and Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell. It is not clear whether Corgan knew this.
The show debuted the new Pumpkins lineup and was a warm-up for a 15-date U.S. tour that begins next Tuesday (July 6th) in Cleveland.
Only Corgan and guitarist Jeff Schroeder remain from the lineup of the Pumpkins that toured in 2008, with Nicole Fiorentino joining on bass and Mike Byrne replacing Jimmy Chamberlin on drums.
The group played three of the four songs already released from its ongoing recording project Teargarden by Kaleidyscope.
Corgan caused controversy by berating the audience at shows on the band's 2008 tour.
