Nine Inch Nails front man Trent Reznor has told a group of Canadian politicians to stop using his band’s logo on their shirts.
The team of Alberta mayor Naheed Nenshi recently tweeted pictures of merchandise bearing the NIN logo. Nenshi’s initials match that of the band, so his team used the logo and added the motto “Building Alberta Together”.
Officials later reported that representatives from Reznor wrote a very polite letter to Nenshi about the shirts. They urged Nenshi to stop using the logo on the shirts, to which he agreed.
