I made a discovery about the upcoming Black Keys album that comes out in June. It took me a second, but I realized something about it…
The album is called Let’s Rock, and it has a picture of an electric chair on it.
We can take this back to the mid 80’s to where the crime happened, or we can take it back to November when an inmate from Nashville named Edmund Zagorski was on death row and was executed via electric chair. His final words: “Let’s rock.”
So what’s the relation that The Black Keys have to this story? Obviously both Nashville locals, but maybe a song on the album is inspired by this story? They didn’t know what to put on the cover so they just picked the chair? Total coincidence? Now I need to hear the story behind this!
