The description of the guitar on GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com says,
Chris Cornell played guitars are rare, but nothing compares to his 1966 Fender Jazzmaster. Cornell originally bought this guitar in 1993 and played it heavily throughout the 1993-1994 tours, playing it on over 30 shows, with video evidence from 13 different shows. Soundgarden didn’t become mainstream until the “Superunknown” album came out. According to “Superunknown” album producer Michael Beinhorn, Cornell only used three guitars to record the album. A Gretsch Duo Jet, a double-cutaway Gretsch Silver Jet and this Fender Jazzmaster. This guitar was used to record most of the songs on their most famous album, “Superunknown”.
The website predicts that it will sell for anywhere between $175,000 to $250,000. I can barely afford to even LOOK at it!
