On Independence Day, the Commonwealth of Kentucky named Five Finger Death Punch’s Chris Kael a “Kentucky Colonel”, which is the highest honor awarded in Kentucky. Kael was born in Lexington, KY.
The Kentucky Colonels is a non-profit charitable organization, and those named as colonels, the web site explains, are people who “go that extra step in kindness, goodwill and pride in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”
Last month, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford was awarded the honor also. Among other famous Kentucky Colonels are Robert Plant, Dave Mustaine, John Lennon, Tommy Thayer and Zakk Wylde.
