Out today (November 19th) is Bruce Springsteen's The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts. The set is available in HD on physical formats — including on two CDs with DVD, two CDs with Blu-Ray, and as a double-LP. The film will be available as a digital rental starting on November 23rd.
Back in 2019, as part of his ongoing bootleg series, Springsteen released No Nukes '79 – Madison Square Garden, NYC, featuring both his September 21st and 22nd, 1979 shows at Madison Square Garden. The new release is an amalgam of the two concerts.
In the “making of” clip forv the new No Nukes package, Bruce Springsteen spoke about the uniqueness of the 1979 shows for him and the E Street Band: “The show was an anomaly because it came in the middle of making a record when we never did shows when we were making records. And so, this show came up in the middle of making The River and we had the title song and a few other things. . . I mean, I remember the Garden. coming out and the audience was just completely off the charts.”
