I mean… was it worth it?
Obviously concerts have gotten insanely expensive in the past few years with the high cost of tickets and astronomical fees, but it’s pretty normal we would pay a little more to see our favorite bands. But according to a study from Rakuten, many 20- and 30- somethings are spending thousands of dollars on concert tickets, mainly the big artists with high-cost tickets. Spending that kind of money for being at a 3-hour show is putting them into financial turmoil, but… they’re actually okay with it?!
According to this study, “early one third of Gen Z (30 percent) and millennials (38 percent) surveyed said they were planning to use rent or mortgage funds for concert expenses.” So, what you’re saying is, they’re actually forfeiting their plans to buy a home for a concert. Their excuse? “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” also according to the study.
Yikes. Read more of the study from DailyMail HERE.
