The Tennessee Department of Transportation has officially launched Phase Three of a multi-year improvement project to ease congestion and improve safety on a 3.4-mile stretch of I-65, from near State Route 41 in Sumner County to Rivergate Parkway in Davidson County.
TDOT says most of the work will be done at night. However, commuters should prepare for periodic lane closures, detours and plenty of orange barrels. Construction is expected to last through November 2027.
