Driver Blames Crash On Crocs

A Missouri man accused of crashing into a Kum & Go and then fleeing the scene reportedly blamed his footwear for the incident. Dale Hamit allegedly drove his 2012 Dodge Ram into the convenience store in late February and then left without giving any information. When questioned, police say Hamit “stated he was driving in his Crocs and they got caught in the pedal, causing him to accelerate into the building.” He has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident where property damage exceeded $1000.
