That’s one way to convince me to go into work on a Saturday! Lee from The Funeral Portrait stopped by the Buzz Studios before their sold-out show tonight at The End.
A lot has happened since we last saw his band back in August for the Buzz Session at the Bode Hotel before the Five Finger Death Punch and Marilyn Manson show at Bridgestone Arena. He expressed his gratitude for their devoted fans, selling out venues, living in Nashville part-time, and how Ivan Moody was particularly great on giving him advice, sharing stories, and “taking him under his wing” during the FFDP/Manson tour.
The Funeral Portrait has toured for over a decade, so seeing this kind of success is awesome, yet somewhat scary for the band. Since the very successful launch of “Suffocate City,” they’re taking one step at a time, continuing to play small clubs and venues, and hope to eventually get back to playing arenas.
We also heavily geeked out over My Chemical Romance, Kacey Musgraves, and Buc-ee’s. It’s a long story, HA! Listen below.
