If you’ve ever walked into your local diner, coffee shop, or fast food joint early enough in the morning, you’ve likely noticed a group of “old boys” sitting at their usual table, hanging out and chatting it up. In this Minnesota town, that place for these fellas was Burger King.
That’s why when one of their own, Jerry Parkin, passed away at 91 years old, employees came up with a sweet way to honor one of their favorite regulars. They got permission to have his name engraved into his favorite chair and presented it at his funeral. It now proudly sits at the restaurant for his friends, family and employees alike to all still feel connected to him.
