Tool played their first-ever destination festival over the weekend. A show this massive has gathered their fans from all over the world to see this concert in the Dominican Republic, but it may have been a major disappointment?
Tool in the Sand Festival kicked off in Punta Cana last Friday, March 7th, with Primus, Coheed And Cambria, Mastodon, and other bands as part of the lineup. Tool was the headliner for both nights of the two-day festival.
The first night of the festival was supposedly highly applauded when the band played a 10-song set, according to Consequence. The next night, on the other hand… When the band was expected to play “two unique sets,” they apparently play nine songs, and four were played the previous night of the festival. If you look at the [NSFW] video below, you can hear booing… or, were they saying TOOOOOOL?
One fan wrote on Reddit, “Friday night was extremely good but Saturday night was definitely a let down in length, variety and style. The whole reason I did this was to see two different sets and be able to walk back to the room.” Another said it was “a very disappointing show. Especially for the cost. I will never pay to see them again which is very disappointing.”
Would you be mad if you saw two similar back-to-back sets? Read more from Consequence HERE.
