On-Air: Weekends
Josh Kuhn has been in radio just shy of 20 years, and is a member of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. In 2003, he cut his teeth on the microphone down in Smithville, Tennessee, spinning classic Country at WJLE. He built a great listenership on his weekend shows, with the popular “All Request Saturday Night” and “Southern Gospel Sunday.”
In 2009, after a small stint in public relations, he was asked to come to Manchester, Tennessee, to be on-air at the then-named, Fantasy 101.5FM, the official radio station of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Josh was also the official emcee of MusicTree — the popular music festival in Manchester that takes place 72 hours before Bonnaroo kicks off, as people from all across the country infiltrate the city.
In 2016, Fantasy was acquired by Bowman Media, and became the Top 40, Rooster 101.5FM. Josh hosted the hugely popular, “Josh Kuhn in the Afternoon,” along with being a DJ on other Bowman brands, 105.1 Whiskey Country and 93.9 The Duck’s classic rock, all three booming throughout Southern Middle Tennessee, and down past the Alabama state line.
When Josh left the Bowman group at the end of 2019, he was elated to make his first jaunt to the major market of Nashville radio, and work at the area’s #1 rock powerhouse, 102.9 The Buzz. You can catch Josh on the Buzz, weekends, Midnight to 6AM. And be sure to call! He loves to engage with his listeners and immerse himself into the thread of Nashville culture.
